General Questions

On my 7100/80 powermac running os 8.6 and pmfb 2.4 mac I had an error -61.  Can you tell me what that error is?

Also, incomplete PB's will run, but then crash the application, didn't it used to warn you when you were trying to run a game with an incomplete PB?

As an aside, I want to BEG for step & replay to be put back into PMFB.  Hand prep coaches are at a severe disadvantage in 2.4... where the transcripts run faster, and you cannot step or replay.

I downloaded PMFB for Windows and is now trying to register the game. I cannot do this via this website - all I get is an errormessage. I have tried to logg on to the secure website as well but that does not work either. Finally, I tried to send a couples of email to Playmaker but whitout response. Now, my question is - how do I register my copy of the game? Thankfull for your help!

A few times since switching to 2.4 (on Windows XP box) I've seen the same team kick off to start both halves of a game.  It seems to be a fairly random occurrence (rerun with the same teams/books and kickoffs are normal), but it's definitely happened now in at least two games I've run in the WFL, and in a game the first week of the current SPMFBL season run by another coach as well.

Greetings!  I am running PMFB on a Palm Zire 31 (OS 5.2.8).  It supports low-res colour, but the game comes up in Greyscale.  I have noticed that the Windows demo version shows up in colour.  Is there a way to make the Palm OS version show up in colour as well?

Greetings!  In the docs for the PMFB 2.4 for Palm, it says that playbooks developed in the PMFB Windows version can be used on the Palm.  Do you have to register both versions to do this?  Will one registration cover both platforms at all?

Obviously, it is easier to develop the plays on the larger monitor of the Windows version, but I generally like to actually play on the Palm.  Any ideas?

How are time outs figured during a game? When I run a game on my computer, my team frequently calls time outs at the worst times, like when I'm trying to run out the clock or when the other team is running the ball instead of passing. Is this just a random thing? Other than that, it's a great game.

Downloaded the Win teams/playbooks file of some great teams and champions of the past. A lot of the playbooks are locked and ask for an access code. Is this normal? I just wanted to view some plays for ideas.

I just converted from Playmaker for Mac to Playmaker for Windows. Boy do I miss all those great utilities that are out there for the Mac and unavailable for PC.

When I play a game and have the transcript file checked, after the game there is nothing on the transcript file. Am I doing something wrong? How can I read the game transcript?  ???

Another question, is there anyway to transfer my team and playbook from the Mac version to PC?

I downloaded the original PMFB teams and have a question about an offensive pass play used by the Badmen called "TE Under Slot L."  When the play is run, there is always a penalty on lineman #74 (Rhode Block) indicating he lined up as an ineligible receiver. I believe an offensive tackle can be eligible under certain circumstances (e.g. reporting to the ref before play). Is it possible to make an offensive lineman eligible in PMFB or are they always considered ineligible receivers?

Some comments and request for PMFB.

Comments first, regarding the PMFB v2.4 windows version.

I downloaded it from the web site, installed it no problem. Initially when I tried running a game it failed, not giving any specific reason. I just retried it, and it worked. Could it possibly be that PBs with extra "." in them would cause a failure? What I used this time was a generic PB named exactly as the team name.

ie - Penn State N8.14.fbp as opposed to Penn State.fbp
