I mean I suppose you email your team and playbook to another person who executes the game and then they send you a copy of the transcript. How does this work in a league?
And what stops someone from cheating?

Yes, both teams would send in a playbook to another person for the game to be ran. Most leagues have the games run by another coach or the league commish so that there is an impartial gamerunner. Really it is an honor system and there is nothing to stop someone from cheating besides the fact that if you are caught than you likely will be removed from the league and every other league likely would hear about it.
The third party running the actual game(s) makles perfect sense. Thanks
Chris
That third party coach is not a coach in the same division as either of the coches involvd in the game... plus once the playoffs start the game are run by coaches with nothing to gain in the game to keep things "clean"
It's not a perfect system but it's forked for like 15 years now.

Sounds like a good system to me.
Looks like we may have a method to have games run by PMFB.net soon. That should allow for challenge matches, and hopefully even a challenge league like the old Compuserve league.
I think it's going to end up being a points league, but as I remember challenge leagues are a lot of fun. As long as some powerhouse does not sit on top of the list forever and kick all our butts.

So you cant call plays when playing another person?
Correct, no manual play calling. You fill in an AI punchcard for each play in your playbook. It's pretty easy, and the results are usually fun to watch. We have been running games live via join.me. Works great.
