finally...I saw an area how to put your own plays together, but....is there a area where you have a team (a group of set plays) ThEN splice in 1 or 2 of your own plays????

You build your plays in your team/playbook file. The online play generator is mostly for you to get the idea. Plays can be exported/imported between play books. There are a number of leagues -- each with there own rules for teams, plays, games -- that are always looking for coaches. (No, I don't play in any of them anymore.)
