Hadn't been around for a while. Now I see that Brian is doing somethings based on the main page. Anybody have a clue?
Any idea what is going on?

A new version of PMFB is available. The windows version has a bunch of formerly private enhancements (styled diagramming, custom play-snippets, nice printing) that will shortly make it to the Mac as well. You can download them at http://playmaker.com/ftp/pmfb/PlayMaker-Football-2.5.dmg for Mac, and http://playmaker.com/ftp/pmfb/PlayMaker-Football-2.5-Setup.exe for Windows. With these new versions, source code is availabe at http://trac.playmaker.com/browser/public/trunk/pmfb (or http://svn.playmaker.com/public/trunk/pmfb).
New licenses are required for this version, but will available free to current users for the asking.
Wow--wasn't expecting that response Brian. Very cool. I downloaded. Certainly would like upgrade to the registered version. However, it looks like one cannot bring in the old team and playbook files. That cannot be can it? Never mind--found the file converter
Yes, there is a "PMFB File Converter" for transferring old format teams and playbooks. It's included in the installers and yes, there's source to it http://trac.playmaker.com/browser/public/trunk/pmfb/utilities. :)
Thanks Brian. I think it is great you are offering up the source, but for me, it is meaningless. Might as well be in Aramaic as much as I understand it. ;)
Brian, the 2.5 version looks very nice so far though I haven't tried registering it yet. However, the 2.5 PC File Converter isn't working at all for me. Every file is gives a error box saying "Exception occurred." Any ideas? Or would I need to take a peak at the source code for the converter?
Same problem here with the converter
I'm also having no luck with the converter using Windows XP SP2 and files created with v2.4.
Is anyone having any better than I am with the Mac version, i.e., none at all?
Haven't tried the mac version yet. I'll give it a go this weekend and get back to you on it.
Well, I've tried the Mac version as well and there is no joy from the conversion utility. It won't convert mac files to the *.pmf format or convert the mac files to the Palm format. No conversions at all, no matter how many times I click the OK button or which folder I set for the output. :(
I'm getting the "exception occurred" dialog too. I wonder if it has something to do with the use of hidden teamfile slots...which brings us to another issue--our third party team editors, Mac or Windows, won't work with 2.5, will they?

We don't use them so I doubt that's the reason.
Can anyone using the Windows version comment on the new features? I'll download it tonight when I get home.

I tried the Windows version, couldn't get it to really work or even registered for that matter. The code is different than for the 2.4 version. If anyone knows how to register I'd appreciate the help as well :)
At a mnimum, there's at least two working sample teams for 2.5 at:
