OSX versions of convertors?

Are there any plans to release OS X versions of the playbook convertors?

Specifically, to which convertors are you refering?

Re: OSX versions of convertors?

As I mentioned in email, the convertor that I'm most in need of is the Windows-to-Mac OSX convertor. The current convertor only runs in Classic mode and all newer macs are shipping without any version of classic. (I'm responding here to keep the thread useful to others who might be reading and need the info)

I'll second this request.  I'd like to see a Win to Mac OS X converter (and a Mac OS X to Win converter as well)

Re: OSX versions of convertors?

someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the new OSX version of PMFB will pick up those windows files unconverted?

If that is not the case then there is a DIRE need of a converter that works in OSX without having to go to "classic" mode.

Re: OSX versions of convertors?

Bo and others interested in an OSX native program to make Windows PMFB files work on a Mac.

Go to: http://www.bright.net/~dennisdr/PMFBWin2Mac2.0.app.sit

The link should automatically download a drag-and-drop, run-only AppleScript that has been tested on OSX 10.4.x and 10.5.x.

It is NOT an update of the old Win2Mac program, but it will do what you need it to do.

1. Unstuff the file
2. Put it somewhere so you can drag and drop files onto it.
3. Grab a team file, or a dozen of them ... or a playbook, or two dozen of them. YOU CANNOT MIX AND MATCH TEAM FILES AND PLAYBOOKS ... You have to change them separately.
4. Drop your files on the application and you'll be asked what kind of file you'd dropped. Is it a team file or a playbook?
5. Click on the proper response and the program will simply add Creator and File Type codes to the files you've dropped.

Pretty simple.

Two things to remember.

1. If you're doing this translation for a league, you'll need to remove the .fbt from the end of the team files.
2. If you do that and then go to remove the .fbp from the end of your playbooks, you'll need to add the word Plays to the name, or you'll end up with team files and playbooks named the same (and the Mac won't let you do that in the same directory).
