We ran into something this weekend that may be a bug. Here is the situation:
Team A was punting. The punter dropped the snap and picked up the ball. He continued with his kick. The ball travelled into the end zone where it was "downed" by Team A. The program did NOT treat it as a touchback as is the normal result for a ball in the end-zone. It scored it as a SAFETY against Team B.
The fact that there was less than a minute left in a tie game between the top 2 teams in the division didn't help. We ended up voting to replay the whole game, leaving Team A's owner very upset win he ended up losing in the second game.
Sounds like a bug. I assume it happens every time?
Regular punts, no. I assume it has to do with the punter dropping the snap which is hard to replicate.
