Brian, as per our email discussions....on one of my Windows XP computers, the conversion utility crashes when trying to convert PC files to palm version files.
Specifcally, it is with Team Files and Playbooks created with PMFB for Windows
v2.3. It gives the same error message with every file
I try to convert. the program immediately closes and I
get an error message that says:
This application has requested the Runtime to
terminate it in an unusaual way. Please contact the
application's support team for more information.
That's all the information that it provides. Is there some other secret place that programmers have to go for me to find additional information about the crash?
R A
R A, thanks for moving the conversation here. Is there any way to get more detail about the reason the application is quitting? Often times the message box which reports the crash will provide a "Details" button to capture program information that would be valuable.
No, it doesn't offer more details at all. Here is an exact quote from the window that I just produced by trying to convert a windows playbook to the palm format:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program: ...nd Settings/Dr Simoneaux/Desktop/PMFB File Converter.exe
abnormal program termination
That's it. Notihing else in the window except an OK box. Where else can I look to help you? As I previously mentioned, I even tried downloading the file again...same problem.
R A
R A,
I'm a little stumped. It seems like a DLL incompatibility, but I've done everything I know of so far to address that. I'll email you a debug version of the application here that may help. If it doesn't work for you, it should at least provide a little more information about the problem. Let us know what happens.

Brian, the debug version you sent also crashes. Is there a way to copy the info from the report it generates to send it to you?
R A
R A,
sorry, but email went on the blink for a couple of days and I missed notification of any post.
Not sure on the report: if cut and paste doesn't work, could you send a screen shot?
-Brian
Here is the content of the file it creates in the temp folder:
I have recently found what I think is an unrelated problem under XP that will force me to create a new version of this utility. The new version may address this problem as well. I will post it as soon as possible.
