Ok, first thought off the top of my head is that we(PMFB) need at least one PMFB coach who's got some free time and is interested in soccer as well to go into the hattrick community and see what they can do about recruiting a segment of it back here. I'm happy to explain if you think I'm babbling.
Second, for those of you on WebL, I'd like to have a (PMFB) tagline at the end of our gym names... that way we can at least bring a little press back playmaker's way.
Does anyone else have any ideas about recruiting/advertising for PMFB?

Advertise on Football Outsiders (footballoutsiders.com). $100/month.
FO is getting a lot of press these days (one of their guys just got a gig at ESPN.com) and with the NFL playoffs starting, I bet they're getting mucho hits.
What makes this prime advertising real-estate for PMFB is that FO is fascinated by strategy - which is what PMFB has all over the other football games.
Getting ahead of myself: If PlayMaker were to advertise there and were to see an uptick in sales, then perhaps an ad campaign could be constructed that specified particular leagues looking for coaches.
Great idea marsh
I have been posting on Espn gamenet, and other such places for a while.
Any other places to post would be great. Maybe we can get a list going and a few of us can post there, so it's not always just me sounding off like a broken rooster.

Check it out... should be some way to at least try to recruit some of the coaches from there to over here.

Hattrick looks pretty interesting - sort of the WebL format for soccer.
Also, PlayMaker had a relationship with American Football Monthly for a while. It attracts a lot of High School and College coaches and some of them might be interested. When we get our coaching application strategy up and running again, we'll make more of a company push with AFM again.
dolphinism.com has sports team management down, I think we should be able to get some coaches who want a little more and don't want to pay for seasons from them. Need some recruiters to go in and play a free season and see if you can get some of the guys over there to come over here.
:)

I agree, I've done just that. We could use an infusion of new coaches into all of the leagues. Good idea. Can't imagine wanting to pay for the chance to do this (dolphinism.com), but a free season could glean some more coaches for our leagues.
Gamers sites are another area that can be hit. I"m on a few of them, but I'll post some of them in here in case anyone wants to help me plus the information there.
One thing ron m said in another thread was it's easier to get back old coaches... that's true... maybe someone could pore through some of the old PMFB material and try to make a database of who's coached in PMFB... with that we could try to contact some of them even if they have different email addresses.
I know there are some great coaches out there that are just waiting for a comeback.

There is a spot you all should be able to review playmaker for this site.

I'd love to cross-promote with WEBL. In fact, what Bruce Cota probably doesn't know is that WEBL was the inspiration for CSFBL...
Never saw playmaker.com but if they have decent traffic I'd be up for cross-promotion....
sorry, my other text did not make it.
That other text was from Brian DeMarzo, the creator of CSFBL.com, a baseball sim.
I'm already hooking him up with WebL, and hope brian can hook him up with Playmaker.
It's a good place to hunt for coaches too... over 100 coaches usually online there.
