Hey, anybody interested in an anything goes league?

I was thinking about making a league with no drafts, no restrictions, just you making a team with your own team name, player names, and with a 7500 point overall limit.

If anybody's interested, let me know.

I'll join if you can get some people together, I have PC version. I've never created a playbook for a competitive league, though, but I'm sure I can field a decently competitive team.

I might be interested in this kind of league as well. Nice and simple, reminds me of the good old days of PMFB. You might also consider a schedule of every other week for playbook submission so it's not so crazy trying to get a book together every single week.

Well, I've got 3 or 4 friends that I know will want to enter, so, if I can get maybe 10-16 teams together, that'd be sweet.

How come no one seems to use teams with 1500 points?  That would seem to equal the players/teams and then the games would be based on play selection, quality of plays, etc and not on a draft or whatnot.

well, I don't like drafts, because there's no originality involved like when you name your own guys, and if all teams were 15000 points, then every team would be the same, whereas if they were all 7500, then you would have to strategize where to put your points based on your strengths.

Plus, hey guys, I figured out a way to record the games, so if you join the league, you won't just have to read about whether or not your team won, you'll actually get to watch it!

Are you using an older version of PMFB? To the best of my knowledge, the latest versions don't allow you to make game films anymore...

I am interested as well in a league like this.

Fear ye the Mighty Grailsmen, with their devastating cornerbacks Black Knight and Green Knight, and their Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch defense!!

The PMFL used to be a 7500 points league.

I could dig up the rulebook if you liked... it was pretty wide open rules... I remember them being a little looser than the USFA rules.

I bet a few of the olf PMFL vets would be willing to submit a team if you ran your league as PMFL8... we finished 7 seasons before we closed up doors.

I'd be happy to field a points league team.

What is the latest on this points league?  Does it have a heart beat yet?

And the mentioned "screen capture" program - how big are these movie files?

No prgress on a points league as far as I know.

There are a number of draft leagues looking for coaches, and the NCFL is a college simulariton league and they are looking for coaches also.

Lemme know if you are intestered in one of the active leagues?

Perhaps serving as an assistant coach for a veteran would be a good star for you mister christopher.

I'm happy to help place you if you want help.

Did anything ever come of this? It sounds like fun. Just the team-making alone would be worth it...
