The Play Editor is still in beta, but you can diagram and simulate plays with it. See the Quick Instructions below.
Quick Instructions
- Click and drag players to position them.
- With a player selected, hold down the Ctrl-key (Command-key for Mac) and click to add a line to the player's pattern.
- Load a complete play by selecting the menu item "File->Defense->Open Play...", and then clicking the "Run" folder, and then clicking a play name like "3 Man Front - Zone."
- Simulate the two plays on the chalkboard by selecting the menu item "Simulate->Simulate", and then by using the DVR-style control below the play to view, FF, etc.
- Change the outcome of the simulation by clicking on a helmet to expose all of the frames for that player, and then by dragging or rotating individual frames.

What do you think of the online play editor? What would you like to see?
Is there a place to type rules for the postions so I can print a playbook for my players and coaches? I would like to see a play diagram with a box at the bottom or on the side of the page with rules for each position. Is this possible?

How difficult would it be to program an optional, "snappable" grid for the players and movement points with a pixel coordinate system similar to InDesign?
Brian, All I see is a green screen. What am I missing?
There was a problem with the flash version on Windows that has been fixed. Please try it again.

The one thing I'm seeing on this is that there is no way to undo just one segment of an assignment. With the way it's set up now, you have to restart an entire assignment from scratch.
But what I really like is:
* The ability to isolate a player in the reply. Having the entire path remaining on the field for any future runs of that play makes it difficult to see the play as it develops, but that could be a small tweak. Being able to single out a single play in the mass of humanity is huge.
* I like the new pathing system where you can change the length of a route in the middle rather than having to cut the route back to that point to redefine one portion of the route. That's going to be a time-saver.
I'm new here so I'm off the charts ignorant....that said...
why isn't there an explaination of those symbols at bottom of this screen...I figure its what would that particular person you have moved to a position-what it is they do, but no explaination...also, I see last post here is May...I mean I don't even know what all this is about, i.e. is it where you just practice plays, or, is it to put your plays up against someone else, or is it for 2 people to have a simulation game, or is it....etc etc???
I've posted two questions in general discussion-gotten 20 views...but NO replies..
