Can the players be made solid all of the time?

One of the biggest issues had from one league to the next is that fun "cheese" argument.  Such and such is a bad thing.  And rather than start an argument forum on what that list is; is it possible for players to actually take up space?  To be "solid"?  Currently, offensive players phse through one anther, and it is used as strategy to spring recievers, or move linemen into position to block.

I believe this effect works for both offense and defense... but ken is right, it would be nice to see this problem dealt with.

The running game is another example.  How may times have you seen a running back hit a pile and go right THROUGH it!  Not often, RBs need holes!  Also is it me or do the players seem small relative to the playing field?  Wouldn’t it make sense to be accurate in terms of proportion?
